LAO FINE SILK

Boutsaya Art and Craft is striving to promote and preserve the Lao-Women Unique styles of costume as reflected on various ancient ethnic textiles of Laos across the country. The rare items of those symbolic textiles are collected at Boutsaya Art and Craft House for exhibition, rental, and study of the legend of those textiles. Proudly, Boutsaya Art and Craft reissues the antique patterns of Lao textiles, in particular unique motifs of Lao silk skirts for local and international customers’ at the most reasonable price.

 

BOUTSAYA SILK PRODUCTION AND ANCIENT WEAVING TRADITION

Boutsaya Art and Craft is a hub of silk and cotton textiles from all parts of Laos, providing customers with the best selections and intricate designs of Lao textiles as categorized and hand-woven by original artisans as follows:

Lanexang style made by weavers in Vientiane and Laungprabang

Muangphuan and Xamneuar Styles made by weavers in Xiengkhouang and Huaphan province as they are the direct successor from ancestor

Ikat silk design are partially made by weavers from Pakse, Champasak province, the finest silk Ikat (Khmer influenced design)

Cotton indigo and natural dying made by weavers from northern Laos, mostly are ethical textiles such as Tai Leu, and Phuan.
